The purpose of this cable is to control the primary drive function of your equipment, so when it is engaged, the tiller moves, and when it is disengaged, the tiller stays stationary. This cable is connected to a lever on the handlebar, and to a mechanism on the engine, with the cable acting as the connector. If your equipment has issues with engaging the clutch, or if the cable is frayed and damaged, the cable needs to be replaced. To replace this cable, use a screwdriver or wrench to disconnect it from the lever, before removing it from the engine mechanism. Then simply install the new one where the previous one was connected.
