The main knob insert snapped.

Nothing to it. Just remember to put the insert in the knob, NOT on the selector stem. Line up the flat part of the insert with the flat part of the stem and push the knob in place.

Don NOT ram it on the selector stem. When it's seated, don't push any more. That's all there is to it. It works. If the pointer on the knob indicates the selector is lined up correctly, but it isn't, the problem is the selector, not the knob. Read more...

I had to remove the whole top of the washer and unplugged all the wire to the board. Getting the board out was the hardest thing to do because no screws it was clamped in place. The Pull knob for the washer timer "pulled" off. Needed to replace the knob.

This was super easy. If you can screw and unscrew a nut from a bolt, its that easy.
The Knob assembaly comes as a whole. So once you remove the old knob (unscrew to the Left).

Then replace the new knob assy (screw to the Right) till its a snug fit. As you will see this knob is designed to be a clockwise rotation only - normal operation - sort of a self tightening screw. Read more...

would not go into the spin cycle

I first ordered the timer for this washer and installed the new timer in less than 15 min.
I used a screw driver and pliers and the job was
very easy. I can not understand why a repair
person would charge almost $200.00 for this work.
But anyway, the last thing I need to do was install
the old knob and when I did I over tightened it and
the plastic knob broke. I ordered a new one which
when it came it was metal. I screwed the new one
on in less than a min. and it works great.
I think that Partselect.com is great and I will be
