This burner control knob is a genuine OEM replacement part that is compatible with range cooktops. It is made of stainless steel and has a diameter of approximately 2 inches. It also features a grip for easy handling. The knob controls the flow of gas to the burner and this allows users to regulate the amount of heat produced by each burner. You can find each knob on the front panel or surface of the cooktop. Over time, it is normal for the knob to become loose or damaged. If the knob is faulty, it will become difficult to turn or it will make a clicking sound work when you attempt to turn it. Remove the faulty knob by gently pulling it away from the cooktop. Plastic knob shaft split when turned too hard.
Simply pulled up on the bad knob to remove it. and pushed down the stainless steel replacement. The only problem came when the first replacement arrived. It was incorrect and the shaft was too short to fit. Part Select quickly got me a replacement and it was perfect. I won't have to worry that this stainless steel shaft will split!

Replacing the stove switches that were no longer regulating the burner.
The new switches were multi-brand switches. Had to break off the stems to the correct height but the stems were made for that. The plastic barrel fitting that came with the switch (6 to choose from depending on the type of knob you have) had to be spun on a drill and sanded so that they would fit inside the taller nut sleeve. That was the only trouble.
