Hi Roy, thank you for contacting us. We have found the instructions to attach the control shaft in the snow blower. These may not be of the same model but will help you in installation. You may need to follow these steps: 1. Remove the pins that hold the wheels and set them aside. 2. Remove the bottom pan by taking off the bolts. 3. Push the pin out by taking a screwdriver and wiggle it out. 4. Remove the control arm from the shaft. 5. Remove the pin that holds the speed control shaft and set it aside. 6. Use a screwdriver to remove the pin holding the shift link. 7. Remove the clutch by removing the side pin and then remove the nut. 8. Remove the bolts holding the plate. 9. Remove the plate to get the arm out. 10. Remove the spring and push it over and put that in the middle and then the plate should come right up. 11. The control shaft is attached there. 12. Pull out the control shaft. 13. Attach the new control shaft by following the same steps backward. We hope this information helps!
