Door will not open, door release button has been replaced and door will still not open

Very simple. Cut away the bottom panel. Removed the single screw. The old motors can cause a dngerous shock (according to the Net)so I wore thin rubber gloves and used needle-nose pliers with insulated handles. Removed slip-on contacts.
