Hello Wyms, thank you for your question. Before everything else try resetting the machine by unplugging and replugging the power cord to the wall outlet. Restart the cycle. The F7E1 error indicates that the motor is not getting the required speed. If resetting does not help then it is either a problematic washer drive pulley, part number PS10057144, or a faulty drive motor, part number PS11770267. Customer service is always available to help you place an order if you are having trouble doing so. Good luck with your repair.

Looking for help. Original problem with this washer was that drive motor would just hum when commanded on. Test start capacitor and and it failed. Had 0 micro farads. Replaced capacitor but now no matter what cycle or but is pushed the motor runs in spin cycle. I have also replaced the shifter mechanism but no change. I get a F7E1 trouble code. There is slight arc on one terminal of the old capacitor. Can you help with diagnosing this problem?

Hello Scot, thank you for the question. The F7E1 error code means the tachometer missing or wrong signal. You may have an issue within the electronic control board or it may just need to be rebooted. So unplug the unit for 5 minutes to try to reboot the electronic control board. If the issue persists, you will need to replace the electronic control board, part number PS16555299. We hope that helps!

Scratches in Surface
This product comes in a bottle with a brush like Liquid Paper. It goes on incredibly easy. A second coat might be needed. I wanted to prevent rust from setting in so I covered the scratches and dings. The paint is a little brighter since my washer is 10 years old but it still looks great.

Noise, grinding sounds. Wash tub stopped turning but motor and cycles kept functioning. Process of elimination, must be the clutch assembly.
Easy, just followed the repair video. Recommend also ordering the drive belt. Bought one locally during my repair.

Tab on door strike got broken off and washer would not operate without it.
Pushed in on door strike and rotated it counterclockwise, removed broken strike and installed new strike. NOTE: when removing the old strike (turning counterclockwise) it felt like it might break and/or was attached with an screw that I didn't see but it came right out.
