Flashing display
Replace Advantium 120 flashing display.

Step one: Disconnect the power to the Advantium 120. Unplug unit, trip the breaker, whatever. Your responsibility to make sure the electrical power is removed.

For cabinet mounted units remove four screws from front side flange holding the microwave to cabinet

On the cabinet mounted model access three screws along the top front edge of case behind the display then one screw on each side of display and two hidden screws accessed through the top of the case via access holes. (use a magnetic see driver for these screws)

Work the display panel off and support it until the connectors are removed.

There are three small color coded plugs on the left side to the PC board and five larger colored plugs on the right side. Note plug locations.

Lay the removed control panel upside down on a towel at the corner of the sink so the selector knob is not resting on the counter.

Remove PC plug to the display and remove four screws on the PC board. Shift the PC board to release the tabs. Then remove two screws holding the PC display board. Note two guide pins also align the PC board.

Remove the rubber insulator from the old board and put it at the same location on the new board. There is usually enough stickiness on this insulator to put it back on the new board.

Installation is reverse. Reconnect power. Try it out after completion by boiling water in a microwave safe container. My new display was much brighter than the replaced display. No flashing.

Electronic Timer went out and Top Oven No Longer worked
There are about 12 wires behind the panel...and this was the second time I've replaced the electronic clock in the past four years. I replaced the analog clock four years ago with the digital version because the analog was no longer available, so I knew what I was in for. There are four screw (top of the frame and lower frame) to remove before the frame holding the clock will come out. First DISCONNECT the power! You've have to remove the clock control knobs, and the plastic lever on the self cleaning handle. The first time I ordered this replacement part from PartsSelect there was a diagram included on which wire goes where. This time there wasn't! So it gets a little complicated. Make sure you label all the wired before you disconnect the old clock panel. Anyway, remove the four nuts holding the old clock in place; put the new clock panel in; replace the four nuts. I'll be glad to talk anyone through the rest and I have photos of the whole repair. Read more...

hole punched through digital panel display
The parts arrived in well packaged boxes with extra protection. The parts online listing described and illustrated better than any other supplier, a big help for me. This was a brand new convection double wall oven, damaged and discounted. repair was a snap just removing each terminal one at a time and reconnecting to the new control. I will definitely use PartSelect again already replacing parts in our two year old dishwasher, the parts are a bargain at PartSelect. Thanks so much for being a great and easy way to shop and save.
