Washer would not spin or drain

I went to You tube sight to see how I can remove front of washer so I could inspect inside and see if the problem was visible. A butter knife easily released the tabs that hold the front of washer on. My wife in the mean time found a you tube video that showed the same problem and I ordered the part right away. It showed just two screws and a plug that had to be removed. I always buy my parts from part-select because the quality and speedy delivery and tracking is great! This was an easy fix! Read more...

If your dryer door is not catching on the door strike, and will not stay closed, you may need to replace the door latch. This part is square in shape, and is approximately 3/4-inch in length, by 3/4-inch in width. The part is made of white plastic with a metal tab. To access the door latch, you will need to remove the top and side panels on your dryer. To complete this repair, simply pop the damaged door latch out of position, and snap the new one into place.

The door strike is attached to the door of your dryer and holds the door closed. If your dryer door is not closing, this might be due to the door strike needing to be replaced. This is a simple repair that should only take a few minutes to complete. The package contains one strike. Open the dryer door, and use a flat head screw driver to snap the old strike out if it has not fallen out already. Simply push the gasket out of the way, squeeze together the strike and place inside of the opening. Wiggle to ensure it is set in place properly.

My Door Strike broke

I watched video by searching by the part number. It was recommended by Sales Lady(Can't remember her name). I removed door from the unit and then removed all the screws on the door. There was about 16 of them. I then pushed on the 2 plastic clips which raised one side of the door. This exposed where the Door Strike goes into. I removed the screw that holds Door Strike in place. Inserted new Stronger Door Strike and lined up hole with screw slot. Screwed back in till tight, thus locking Door Strike in. Inserted all screws back in, and attached door back to unit. Tested fine and have now done several loads no problems. A $4 part would have cost me hundreds by service company. Thanks Part Select! Read more...
